Dustin Johnson Putter for the 2017 PGA Season

One article that we have needed to write for a while (it is perhaps the most frequently searched WITB-related term this year) is what putter is Dustin Johnson using? Given the fact that he has improved his putting so much over the past few seasons, it makes sense that golfers want to know what club he is using.

Dustin Johnson’s Improved Putting

During a hiatus from professional golf, Dustin Johnson took the time to take two of his weaknesses and made them strengths. He went from one of the best ball strikers, longest hitters on tour, that couldn’t win because of his wedge play and putting to one of the best wedge players and an above average putter.

We are nearly half way through the PGA season, and DJ currently ranks 19th in strokes gained putting. This is a guy that just a handful of seasons ago was ranked lower than 140th in SG Putting. He undoubtedly got there through hard work, but he certainly isn’t hitting a bad putter. Furthermore, unlike a great number of tour players, he is hitting a putter that is available for us weekend warriors to buy.
